"Trying to apply for a SS benefit that cannot be initiated on-line so I must speak with a representation at the Norristown office. I find out: Appointments are 3 months out. They can't guarantee that anyone will be in the office to take a walk-in application. It's a 45 minute drive. I did get a call back a full day after I spoke with a call taker, but I was not home. The voice message did not include the caller's extension. I connected with the N-town office call-taker and was transferred to the caller's voice mail. I left my name and number. We'll see if/when I hear back. As far as I'm concerned service is terrible. Why can't we just schedule a call back?"
