"I always go to the SS Office in Carbondale Illinois. The people are friendly and answer your questions they know what they are doing and give you advise..closing this facility if it is true would be the biggest mistake ever."

"I've been trying to send off documents to get my son's a replacement card . I first got the papers to fill out for the replacement card and sent documentation. Well they sent everything back stating the need offical birth certificate. I ended up going to the office and sat there over 2 hours . The lady at the desk was being very disrespectful and nothing was done I asked for the papers to fill out nobody gave me no papers to fill out or anything. I dont approve of the service I got today."

"Having contacted the office by phone and talking with staff about a lost SSAN card. I notified them that I was an US Citizen born abroad, what documents would I need to secure a new card. I was informed just a Driver’s license. After a 20 mile drive and talking to the employee, who did not give his name. I was informed I need my Birth certificate and accompanying documents. Very poor and dispicable service."

"Driving here was a total waste of time. The clerk barely looked at my paperwork, told me to contact a different government agency. When I Googled the location of the other agency, I was shown the facility I had just visited."
